CHEMICAL RISK MANAGEMENT
Pursuant to workplace health and safety legislation, the identification of hazards of and risks posed by hazardous substances is a key compliance requirement. The Chemical Risk Management module creates detailed risk assessments for chemicals stored and used within an organisation. It automatically identifies chemical hazards, allows the recording of control measures and provides a guided risk matrix to determine the level of risk posed to each staff member based on the frequency of exposure and the likely consequences. Task-specific risk assessments can be created by identifying and controlling non-chemical hazards.
Chemical Safety documentation often comprises between 10 and 20 pages of in-depth, technical information, which can be difficult for workers to absorb, understand and act on.
MSDS.COM.AU's Quick Chemical Hazard Assessment Report (Q-CHART) is a simple one page document that summarises, through the use of pictograms, all critical information contained in the (M)SDS and the risk assessment created within the system for a specific activity, making complex technical documents understandable by anyone.
Chemical risks are managed through a risk monitor which summarises all risk assessments recorded in the system. The console provides relevant and searchable reports of risks and required corrective actions for the entire organization.
The Risk Management Module is tightly integrated with all other system's modules.
