About Us

MSDS.COM.AU is an Australian online MSDS database, which attracts more than 30,000 visitors a month, who download over 25,000 material safety data sheets (MSDSs). We serve as a 'one stop shop' for people searching for Australian NOHSC compliant MSDSs. We offer an ever-increasing number of MSDSs in an easy to search electronic format.

MSDS.COM.AU was founded in 1998 in order to find a better way to distribute MSDSs. Users of MSDS.COM.AU include hospitals, fire departments, government departments, distributors, resellers, transport organisations, defence, the general public and many others. Since our inception, a number of large chemical manufacturers and distributors have listed their MSDSs on our site. These companies include Syngenta, Caltex, BASF, Nufarm, Bayer and many others.

Our team of professionals have worked in research and development, both in Australia and internationally during the past 30 years. We understand the MSDS process, from regulatory compliance issues to product development considerations. Our staff knows this industry sector well, and the concern that it has in promoting and maintaining a healthy workplace.

Over the past 10 years or so, the use of MSDS has increased dramatically, and with it the costs to importers and manufacturers of chemical products in efficiently distributing MSDSs. In the United States, one of the major petrochemical companies calculated that it cost them about $15 to deliver each MSDS based on their own internet, fax and hard copy distribution systems. When compared with the prices we charge to place MSDSs on our system, savings begin to accrue very quickly.

If your supplier's MSDSs are not on this central system, let them know that they are likely to be spending more on distribution than necessary. Also remind them that they are only one of many suppliers, and that it would help you (the customer) to access all the MSDSs you need on this one site.
